Club History
Empire Rugby Club was founded in 2010 by parents and former rugby players who wanted to create a safe and rewarding rugby experience for kids in the Inland Empire. Formerly located in Colton, California, Empire Rugby Club fielded only u18 and u16 boys teams in its first years.
From the beginning, Empire Rugby became known for tough, hard-hitting rugby. In 2013, Empire Rugby Club added girls’ u18 and u15 teams and boys’ u14 teams. In 2014 Empire Rugby Club added u8, u10, u12, and u14 teams.
In 2019, Empire Rugby Club moved to Riverside.
Over the years, Empire Rugby Club alumni have helped create multiple new clubs throughout the Inland Empire.
Currently, Empire Rugby Club fields teams for boys and girls from 5 to 18 years of age (Boys u18- u14 teams, Girls u18-u15 teams, and Coed u12-u8 teams). We currently practice at Hunter Hobby Park in Riverside.
